Many of us already know what we need to do in order to lose weight, but old patterns and habits can keep us from reaching our goals.  We sometimes choose a diet with the determination to stick with it.  We follow the diet plan successfully; lose most or all of the desired weight, but eventually the weight returns, leaving us feeling frustrated and discouraged.  You are not alone.  In a recent study of dieters, it was found that of those who reported an initial weight loss of 5-10% of their body weight, the majority gained all of the weight back, plus more.  In fact, only a small minority of participants maintained their weight loss.  Not only is this discouraging, but there is evidence that losing and gaining weight repeatedly can lead to issues such as cardiovascular disease, stroke and diabetes.

There are a variety of reasons for overeating, some which we may not be consciously aware of.  It could be as a result of boredom, loneliness, stress, or frustration.  Maybe you use food to reward yourself.  Perhaps you grew up being told to clean your plate and you carried this habit into your adult life. 

For permanent weight loss, we must address the causes and reprogram the subconscious mind.  Provided that the cause of excess weight is due to overeating rather than a medical condition, hypnosis can allow you to address and resolve your issues surrounding food on the subconscious level, where your habits and beliefs are held.
